Midget Matrimony
Ben and I were walking through the mall the other day and we passed Alyssa's Bridal store. I looked in and saw a teeny, itsy, bitsy wedding dress. I made the comment to Ben, "Are they making wedding dresses for midgets now?" Being the great husband he is, he suggested I go stand next to the wedding dress. Yup, just my size.

Enchanting Emily
Emily is growing up so fast. Here are a few things about my funny girl.
She has a delightful giggle. It is so cute she makes complete strangers laugh with her.
She loves her baby sister and does everything she can to help take care of her.
She tells us "thank you" for everything. Ex: "You did a good job going potty Emily." "Thanks Mom!"
She's a bit of a bully. She likes to push her two older boy cousins around.
She is very independent. If she thinks she can do it on her own, she wants to.
She is always telling us that she loves us.
She calls Grandma's puppy "freaking dog".
She loves Wendy's. If I let her, she would eat it every day.
She knows the entire story Stone Soup and can give you an adorable narration.
She LOVES to dance and is starting classes in August.
Emily is a little bit naughty and a whole lot wonderful. She makes us laugh every single day. Maggie couldn't ask for a better big sister, and we couldn't ask for a better little girl.

Magnificent Maggie
A couple of days ago Maggie turned three months old. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is in such hurry to grow up and join her sister in fun filled action.
A few things about our Mag:
She hardly ever cries. I can go days without hearing her cry.
She grunts when she needs something.
She has a smile for everyone.
She laughed for the first time over a week ago and has only repeated once.
She is extraordinarily strong.
She wants to be a part of everything.
She has slept through the night for about two months now, sometimes going as long as 9 hours.
She has a crazy gag reflex. She can be happily sucking on her bink and all of a sudden start gagging.
She is tall. (Me have a tall daughter? What?!)
She has lovely curls and pretty blue eyes.
She looks just like her dad.
She has the best big sister in the world, and in turn, is the best little sister in the world.
She makes our lives better every day, and completes our little family.
I can't imagine our lives without this sweet little girl. We really have been blessed with our wonderful girls!

Emily and Maggie's Eggcellent Adventures!
Our Easter weekend started out at the Thanksgiving Point Easter Egg Hunt. It was rainy and cold so Maggie didn't emerge from the warm cocoon that was the covered car seat in the double stroller, but despite the crummy weather, Emily had a great time.

In this one you can actually see a parent snatching an egg
that Emily was trying to pick up. This hunt is crazy!
The Easter Bunny heard that Emily loved Blue's Clues, so he left her some clues that led to her Easter basket!

Finding the trail of clues

Even sister Maggie was a clue!

Victory at last!

Lovely Easter sisters

Showcasing some fantastic cheeks!
After naps, we went over to Grandma's house to have the annual Rasmussen Egg Hunt. My mom goes crazy with the eggs, and the kids love it.

Once again we had a great Easter filled with lots of fun and family.

Hello there!
Those who know me well will tell you that there isn't much about myself that I am not willing to divulge. In fact, a lot of people will tell you that often times I share entirely too much. So I have decided to share something that has been on my mind for a couple of months.
I am not very friendly, and quite frequently I am entirely unsociable. This aspect of my personality doesn't present itself while I am in my comfort zone. I can be quite social when I am interacting with people in predictable settings, i.e. coworkers at work, students in the school. But if you were to move these same people to a setting in which I don't regularly interact with them, say the grocery store, I will avoid them like the plague.
Twice this winter I have seen coworkers at the mall and have pretended not to see them. While shopping for baby items at Wal-mart I saw a girl from high school. Did I smile and wave, or make an attempt at small talk? Nope. I averted my eyes and pretended not to see her. A few months later, same girl, now at the mall. Do I take the chance to redeem myself? Say hello? Heaven's sakes, no! I once again revert to my pattern of obvious oblivion. The problem is, I liked this girl in high school. And now 9 years later, I frequent her blog, and I have found that I still like her.
So what is my problem? I'm not quite sure, but if you see me at the mall or grocery store, and notice a panicked "deer in the headlights" look in my eyes, don't let me get away with the feigned ignorance of my surroundings. Hopefully, after recognizing and disliking this behavior, I will fix it myself and I will say hello before you even see me, but if not, call my bluff.
In the meantime, though, sorry Morgan for looking the other way.
